Sassari outpatient clinic: electrical, solar, network, BMS and voice alarm in a single project

The challenge

An outpatient clinic cannot stop: consulting rooms, equipment, IT network and lighting must work every day, with patients and healthcare staff always present. Safety also has to be designed for visitors who often do not know the building.

The facility needed a reliable, coordinated set of systems: power always available, a data network serving the whole building, smartly managed lighting and a detection and voice alarm system able to guide people in an emergency.

The solution

We designed and built the building's systems as a single whole:

• Complex electrical installation with a redundancy system and solar PV for continuity of supply
• Structured cabling for the data network, telephony and building services
• Smart lighting with centrally managed scenes and controls
• BMS platform integrating lighting and system supervision
• Inim smoke detection integrated with the EVAC voice alarm, with alert and evacuation messages
• Logic for handling critical situations defined with the facility, and commissioning of every system

The result

Today the clinic has systems that work together: power is secured by redundancy and solar PV, the network serves every consulting room and lighting is managed from the BMS platform.

In an emergency, detection recognises smoke at the earliest stage and EVAC guides people with clear voice messages, following logic designed for the building and the people who use it.
