Fire suppression: save the data, not just the building

In a server room, water would do more damage than fire. We build automatic condensed aerosol suppression systems based on potassium salts: compact generators with no cylinders or pipework that put out a fire at its start, coordinated with fire detection and designed to UNI EN 15276.

Based in Quartu Sant'Elena · on-site work in Cagliari, its metropolitan area and all of Sardinia

What we do

Aerosol fire suppression: from design to support

Automatic potassium-salt aerosol suppression for server rooms, plant rooms and electrical panels: compact generators, no cylinders or pipework.

Potassium-salt aerosol

On command, the generators release a very fine potassium-salt aerosol that chemically interrupts combustion and puts out the fire within seconds.

No cylinders or pipework

Compact generators mounted on walls or ceilings: no pressure vessels, no pipe network, quick installation even in rooms already in use.

Server rooms, panels and plant rooms

Protection for server rooms, UPS and battery rooms, substations and electrical panels, down to a single rack or machine panel.

Extinguishing control panel

Double knock from independent detectors, pre-discharge delay, manual release and hold buttons, warnings inside and outside the room.

Room integrity and pressure relief

Room integrity testing so the aerosol stays in the room long enough, and pressure relief for the discharge where needed.

Simple maintenance

No pressures to check: periodic checks of the control panel, wiring and generators, which are replaced at the expiry date set by the manufacturer.

From A to Z

From room assessment to maintenance

Effective suppression depends on the room as much as on the system: volumes, openings, ventilation, equipment to protect and people present.

  1. 01

    Site survey

Dimensions, openings, ceiling voids and raised floors, ventilation and air conditioning, equipment to protect and people present.

  2. 02

    Sizing

Net room volume, openings and materials to protect: number and size of generators to UNI EN 15276.

  3. 03

    Design

Generator positions and safety distances from people and materials, pressure relief and control logic.

  4. 04

    Detection and control panel

Detectors on two independent lines, extinguishing panel, buttons, signs and warnings, integrated with the detection system.

  5. 05

    Installation

Generators, wiring, buttons and signs, outputs to air conditioning and ventilation, quickly and without shutting down the room.

  6. 06

    Room integrity test

Room integrity check and sealing of openings to hold the aerosol concentration long enough.

  7. 07

    Commissioning and training

Functional tests without discharge, checks of delays and outputs, instructions for staff on what to do in an alarm.

  8. 08

    Maintenance

Periodic checks of control panel, wiring and generators, generator replacement at expiry and an up-to-date log book.

Where we work

Aerosol fire suppression in Cagliari and Sardinia

Our office is in Quartu Sant'Elena, right next to Cagliari: we work for companies, public bodies and facilities in Cagliari, across its metropolitan area and throughout Sardinia. Every project starts with an on-site survey; after installation, support continues with tickets, remote assistance and on-site visits.

FAQ

Aerosol fire suppression: common questions

How does aerosol fire suppression work?

When the control panel gives the command, the generators release an aerosol of very fine potassium-salt particles that spreads through the room and interrupts the chemical reaction of combustion. There is no need to remove oxygen or cool with water.

Is it safe for people?

Yes, with the right procedures: discharge is preceded by visual and audible alarms and a delay that lets everyone leave, with a hold button in case of a false alarm.

How does it protect the servers?

The aerosol does not wet the equipment and puts out the fire within seconds, before it spreads to nearby racks. Generator positions and distances are designed specifically for your room.

Why is a room integrity test needed?

Because the aerosol must stay in the room long enough to put out the fire and stop it from reigniting. The test shows which openings to seal.

Can it be installed in a server room that is already running?

Yes, and it is one of the advantages of aerosol: with no cylinders or pipework, generators are installed quickly and tests are carried out without discharge, without stopping services.

How often is maintenance needed?

Checks are periodic, normally every six months: control panel, wiring, release devices and generator condition, with generators replaced at the expiry date set by the manufacturer.

Do you also work outside Cagliari?

Yes. Our office is in Quartu Sant'Elena, right next to Cagliari: we work in Cagliari and its metropolitan area and organise site surveys, installations and support throughout Sardinia, including Sassari, Olbia, Nuoro, Oristano. Support also continues remotely with tickets and remote assistance.
